1998 Atlanta Linux Showcase Directions

The 1998 Atlanta Linux Showcase will be held at the Atlanta Apparel Mart, part of the AmericasMart Atlanta exhibition and conference facilities. The Apparel Mart is located at 250 Spring Street, with the entrance on the corner of Spring Street and Harris Street. The show is located in the 2nd floor exhibit hall. Take the escalators up as you enter and find the registration counter to the left.

From North Atlanta:

Take I75/85 south.
Exit at Williams Street (exit #99).
Turn left onto Harris Street.
The Apparel Mart will be on the left.

From South Atlanta (and driving from the airport):

Take I75/85 north.
Exit to the left at International Boulevard (exit #96).
Turn right onto Spring Street.
Continue through one traffic light and the Apparel Mart will be on the left.

From NetWorld+Interop (Georgia World Congress Center):

Head towards Marietta Street, and the Omni Hotel.
Go through the Olympic Park to Techwood Drive, or take Marietta Street to Techwood Drive.
Turn left onto Techwood Drive and turn right onto Harris Street.
Go straight until you reach Spring Street.
The Apparel Mart entrance is located at the corner of Spring Street and Harris Street.

Metro Area Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA):

MARTA, Atlanta's rapid rail system, takes you straight from the airport terminal to many hotels and attractions throughout the city, including downtown, midtown, Buckhead and Dunwoody. MARTA costs $1.50 per ride, or you may purchase a visitor's pass good for unlimited rides for the duration of your stay.

Exit the train at the Peachtree Center Station.
Take the Harris Street exit and head west for one block.

Airport Shuttles:

There are shuttle services that run to many of the hotels in the downtown area. Some hotels also have their own shuttle service. The Atlanta Airport Shuttle service runs from 7:00AM - 7:00PM, and stops at most of the downtown hotels for $8.00 - $10.00 per person. Check with your hotel for exact details on shuttles.

Parking:

Lighted and secured parking is available in parking decks below the Gift Mart and Apparel Mart for $7 per day. In addition, parking is plentiful in numerous lots surrounding the Apparel Mart, for $2 - $5 per day.
